TATAA Biocenter offers a full range of real-time qPCR and NGS services and contract research to Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies and takes part in several EU funded research projects and national R&D efforts.

Hands-on training

TATAA Biocenter develops and performs a broad spectrum of hands-on courses in qPCR and NGS world-wide, covering all aspects from basic introductory courses for users entering the field to advanced application based courses.

TATAA Biocenter develops high-quality products for quantitative real-time PCR applications which are available in our webshop or from any of our distributors. We also provide a carefully chosen selection of products from other well-known brands within the life science field.

TATAA Genomics Core Facility

TATAA Biocenter offers users the possibility to perform their own experiments at TATAA Genomics Core Facility. The aim is to make state-of-the-art nucleic acid analysis technologies and know-how available to academic researchers as well as commercial enterprises.

TATAA Biocenter has permanent facilities in Gothenburg (Sweden) and Prague (Czech Republic), as well as collaborations with leading universities and biotech companies worldwide, further developing real-time PCR and NGS technologies and applications.

About quantitative real-time PCR

PCR is a key technology in life science research and molecular diagnostics in which a segment of nucleic acid (DNA or RNA) is copied, or “amplified”, so that it can be more readily analyzed. Quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) is a modification of standard PCR that provides greater quantitative accuracy because the amplified DNA is measured in real-time.

qPCR can be used for:

    • Quantification of gene expression and proteins
    • Detection of microbes in food and soil samples
    • Diagnostic quantification of pathogens
    • Analysis of mutations (SNP)
    • Detection of genetically modified organisms (GMO)
    • Forensic testing
